The Animation tab provides the user with a graphical representation of the works performed by periods, as well as the ability to select data to display and set incentives.

Viewport Display tools

The Viewport Display panel provides an animated representation of the work in progress on your mine site. The user can select the levels to be displayed (mine / pit / stage / bench, etc.), switch to the display of dumps or open pits, view the fleet used and the haulage routes.

The following buttons and fields are provided at the top of the viewport, they are useful for customizing the schedule display according to your preference.

Visibility Mode

Graphics view mode.

Change current viewing mode which affects how data is displayed in the viewport below.

Click on the dropdown list to select "View Selected" to display blasts/benches/stages selected in the Records panel, or "View All" to show the entire mine.

Note that in the “View Selected” mode, Animation cannot be played.

Label Display

Click this button to enable/hide labels.

Click on the dropdown list to open the Label Display Settings window, where you can set the visibility of labels, their colors, font, size, alignment and overlap.

Label

Select from the dropdown list which labels you want to display in the viewport.

To facilitate the search for the desired labels, Search tool is provided.

Custom labels can be imported and configured in the Reserves tab. Custom labels will appear in bold orange.

Reserves Shading

Select from the dropdown menu Reserves shading type to display in the viewport and to simplify working with solids.

To facilitate the search for the desired labels, Search tool is provided.

Custom shadings can be imported and configured in the Reserves tab. Custom shadings will appear in bold orange.

To view the colour coding of the selected shading, use the Legend button located in the bottom right corner below the Viewport.

Dumps Shading

Select from the dropdown menu Dumps shading type to display in the viewport and to simplify working with solids.

To facilitate the search for the desired labels, Search tool is provided.

Custom shadings can be imported and configured in the Reserves tab. Custom shadings will appear in bold orange.

To view the colour coding of the selected shading, use the Legend button located in the bottom right corner below the Viewport.

Other toolbar tools

See below the description of the other tools available in the toolbar above the Viewport.

Box Selection: Left click and drag.

Polygon Selection: Draw a polygon around the desired area.

Zoom: Scroll wheel.

Pan: Middle click and drag.

Orbit: Right click and drag.

Zoom Fit: Left click on the compass widget.

Grid: Toggle grid.

Measure: Function for measuring the distance between two marked points.

At the right of the Viewport Display area there are two more buttons Manage Viewpoints and Legend.

Manage Viewpoints

Sometimes you may need to save particular view for consistent screenshots in your reports., for example. To save the current view of any object in the viewport, click the Manage Viewpoints button at the bottom right corner below the Viewport.

  • Enter a name for the view, describing the certain mine object, for example.

  • The view currently shown in the viewport will be highlighted in green.

  • Optionally select a set of surfaces, preconfigured in the Configure Layer Display Settings dialog. More details on the layers sets configuration see in the UI. Layers/Overlays panel page > Layer Sets for Exporting Views section.

    • When this view is selected, the layers in the set will be shown in the Viewport even if they are not toggled in the Layers panel.

  • To save the view currently displayed in the Viewport, press the green arrow icon to the right.

    • The camera perspective will be saved for later viewing.

  • To update the Viewpoint, use the globe icon in the top bar.

  • To activate the preconfigured Viewpoint, press the green arrow icon to the right.

  • You can also take a screenshot of the saved Viewpoint in the resolution you prefer, using the screenshot button located last in the top toolbar.

Legend

Use the Legend to see the colour coding for Reserves and Dumps as per the selected shading.

Animation panel

The Animation panel is used to run animation in the Viewport Display section, as well as to select the exact time period for use in multiple panels and tabs.

Play and Rewind

Use the play and rewind buttons to start the animation in the Viewport Display.

Animation Settings

Click the Settings button to expand the time settings dialog, where you can set the ratio of Real Seconds/Minutes to Days/Years as per Schedule.

Display Settings

Click the Display Settings button to expand its dialog. In this window, you can set various display settings for individual components, such as Nodes, Roads, Dependencies, Current Block and Period.

You can:

  1. In the Nodes tab: change the visibility, color, size, and labels display for the Nodes of Stockpiles, Crushers and Dumps.

  2. In the Roads tab: show or hide selected or available roads, toggle the road heatmap to display minimum and maximum use of the road based on the quantity fields and parcels selected.

  3. In the Dependencies tab: show or hide dependencies arrows.

  4. In the Current Block tab: toggle Loaders and Drills icons display, customise text for the Agents (both Loaders and Drills), as well as text for the Label.

  5. In the Period Display tab: show or hide period labels, as well as set the desired color and font for them.

Period

The period for the display can be set by selecting it from the Period dropdown or by dragging the animation slider to the required point.

The period Number and Name, as well as the Percentage of its completion and Time, are displayed dynamically above the scroll bar and in the Period Label in the upper left-hand corner of the Viewport.

Export

Click the disk icon to expand the list of export options. More details on the Export options see TS. Exports.

Current Step panel

The Current Step panel displays the current operating parameters at the selected time. The displayed point in time is set in the Animation panel below by moving the slider.

The Current Step provides user with the information for the current transaction, for example:

  1. duration of the operation (Duration column),

  2. agent group performing this transaction (Agent Group column),

  3. name of the agent involved (Agent column),

  4. agent calendar hours (Agent Calendar Hours column),

  5. truck operating hours (Truck Hours column),

  6. truck engine hours (Truck Engine Hours column),

  7. truck type (Truck column),

  8. total amount of liters of fuel consumed by the truck (Truck Total Fuel Liters column),

  9. loader type (Loader column),

  10. loader engine hours (Loader Engine Hours column),

  11. name and type of destination (Destination columns),

  12. name and type of source (Source columns).

Tip

Use the pin icon to pin/unpin the Current Step panel above the Animation panel.

Column Chooser

Right-click on any of the headers and select Column Chooser to display a list of all available columns that you can display in this panel.

Scroll through the list of fields available and drag and drop them to the desired place.

Columns order can be rearranged.

Remove unnecessary columns by holding the header and dragging it out.

Data panel

The Data panel allows the user to view and organize the data being processed.

The main panel area lists all related fields, displayed according to the selected blocks in the Viewport Display or in the Records panel.

To the left of the name of each field there is a small triangle icon, clicking on which will reveal or hide the hierarchy of this level. Use this feature to simplify and filter the data you need to work with.

Fields listed in the Data panel are added and configured in the Data Fields setup steps.

Parcel Subset

Click to select displayed parcel subsets from the dropdown.

  • Parcel Subsets can be configured in the Reserves tab > Data panel > Parcel Subsets field > gear icon > Configure Parcel Subsets dialog.

    • Parcel Subsets are shown in bold orange, and Mutex Parcel Groups are in bold green.

  • You can also display individual parcels.

Data View Mode

Change current data viewing mode which affects how data is displayed in the grid below.

Records panel

The Records panel is represented by a small window on the left side of the Animation tab. You can expand this panel to make it easier to work with its data.

  • Select the subset you want to work with from the Record Subsets dropdown list. The information in the Data panel as well as in the Viewport Display will be automatically updated.

  • Select the required mining element from the tree level hierarchy. You can select both individual elements and entire levels.

  • Use the Visibility Mode button to display only selected records instead of the whole mine.

  • Use the Record Subset dropdown to display certain groups of records. Record Subsets are configured in the Reserves tab > Records panel > Record Subsets field > gear icon > Configure Record Subsets dialog. Custom record subsets will appear in bold orange.

    • Use the green arrows to navigate to the Previous or Next Subset.

    • To facilitate the search for the desired labels, Search tool is provided.

    • Record Subsets shown in bold pinkare scripted.

  • You can use the Expand/Collapse tool to expand selection or all levels.

Layers panel

The Layers panel is a screen component found in all Alastri applications. This panel is used to add / remove / arrange and perform other operations with layers and surfaces. Priority Incentives hidden tab

The Priority Incentives panel is not pinned in the display area of the Animation tab, it is presented as a hidden tab that can be revealed by hovering the mouse cursor over it.

This panel is used to add new priority incentives and work with them.

To have the priority sequence listed in this panel and be able to set and edit it, it has to be added in the Setup tab > Incentives step > Add Incentives dropdown > Priority. See TS. Incentives & Priorities.

  1. Drag the periods slider in the Animation panel to the point of time that you want to edit the mining sequence for.

    1. Note that you cannot edit the Priority Incentive for the blocks that have already been mined as per the Animation.

    2. To ensure the starting positions are correct, run the schedule to the required time in Animation.

  2. Press the blue plus button to add or edit priorities. The Block Sequencer window will open.

    1. Use the Draw Sequence tool to specify a preferred order for mining blocks.

    2. You can also add Blockers to prevent certain blocks from being mined.

  3. Press Ok once the sequence is drawn and inspect the results.

Note that the created Priority Sequence can be not followed, if prevented by the

destination rules or

Scheduling logic rules.
