Tip

In the Designer tab > Benches/Lifts panel, press the Import button to load into the project Construction lines and Named polygons for Blasts and Digs.

You may import:

  • Construction Lines: import basic line work (no blast names or metadata).

  • Named Polygons: import closed polygons with Name and Description fields.

Named Blast Polygons import (Bench level)

  1. Press the Import button at the top of the Level Tree.

  2. Select Import > Into Project > Named Blast Polygons.

  3. Use the Windows Explorer browser to select the polygon file(s) you want to import.

  4. In the Import Named Blast Polygons window, made the field and data mapping as required.

    1. Review the mapping template to choose which files to be imported into which bench. You can create multiple templates for Reserves//Dumps/Backfills level collection, for example, or for importing bench or flitch levels.

    2. Flag the Expand Into Gaps option to merge imported polygons with small gaps between them.

    3. When importing multiple polygon files flag the Map to Files option.

    4. Flag the Clear Existing Lines option for clearing existing blast layouts when importing blast polygons.

    5. In the File Mappings table, map the correct Input Name to the correct Field Name by clicking on the Input Name cell for each row and selecting the right option from the dropdown.

  5. Repeat the process for the Data Mappings table mapping.

  6. Click NEXT when finished.

If the previous form is filled out correctly, the next form should be able to identify the correct file to map to each bench due to activating the Map to Files option.

  • The blast polygons are automatically inserted into the location as mapped.

  • If blasts are not mapped, they can be dragged into the correct row from the Data Layer panel.

  • If the files are not mapped to the correct bench, you can delete the auto mapping and drag and drop the correct file to the correct benc

Click FINISH when form is correctly filled and check the results in the Designer tab viewport.

Named Dig Polygons import (Flitch level)

  1. Press the Import button at the top of the Level Tree.

  2. Select Import > Into Project > Named Blast Polygons.

  3. Use the Windows Explorer browser to select the polygon file(s) you want to import.

  4. In the Import Named Dig Polygons window, made the field and data mapping as required.

    1. Review the mapping template to choose which files to be imported into which flitch. You can create multiple templates for Reserves//Dumps/Backfills level collection, for example.

    2. Flag the Expand Into Gaps option to merge imported polygons with small gaps between them.

    3. When importing multiple polygon files flag the Map to Files option.

    4. Note that when importing Dig Polygons for flitches in the Import Wizard there is a flag option Clip to Blasts. Set this option to true if you need to import a layer containing dig blocks that belong to specific blasts.

    5. Flag the Clear Existing Lines option for clearing existing digs layouts when importing dig polygons.

    6. In the File Mappings table, map the correct Input Name to the correct Field Name by clicking on the Input Name cell for each row and selecting the right option from the dropdown.

  5. Repeat the process for the Data Mappings table mapping.

  6. Click NEXT when finished.
