Beginning and end schedule surfaces are required in order to determine conformance. These surfaces can come from external software or they can be generated directly through Stage Plans in the software. One benefit of using Stage Plans is that you can account for actual mining direction when generating schedule surfaces. This means that , if a block is 50% scheduled and 50% mined, then it can achieve 100% conformance regardless of the originally scheduled mining direction.
