Second Site setup allows users to bring external movements from one APS model and incorporate into a Central APS model. This could be used when several sites are planned separately but provide joint feed to a common central processing plantCentral Processing Plant.

Fields
Ensure both projects have the same mining product fields in the Fields setup step.

Run the Schedule and select the Reporting Tabtab. Click on Export Special button and select the product stream you want to export. This export will be used in the Central model to simulate an external feed source.

Make sure you are exporting in a relevant mode. It is recommended to export only from “Everything” mode, as the result from any other mode may not constitute a valid schedule. |
The exported product feed will be saved in a selected directory as “.prodFeed” file”file.
Central Model Setup
The following steps are required to be completed on the Central model, which is receiving material from the External model for consolidation.

Enable the Import a product stream from another site for further processing in this model flag in the Production Mode Features step. This will enable extra setup steps step (Other Sire Feeds) for supporting an external feed source.

In the Site Lists step

add (or Populate from Haul Infinity) a Stockpile to act as an interim storage facility between the External site and the Central processing plant.

2. Create a plant component Plant Component to move material from the interim stockpile to the crushing plant. This component is applied in the flow chart and is used to create a cashflow incentive to reclaim material from the interim stockpile.

3. Create the second site to use as External source.

In the Other Site Feeds step select Parcel type to assign for the External feed source. If the feed has been blended at the External site, then parcel type will typically be assigned as “blend”.
Select Feed Release Time as a Start of End of a period.
Import the “.prodFeed” file that was exported from the External model.

Create an Instantaneous Cash Flow incentive in the Flow Optimization step and apply it to the Second Site feed.

Add the Second Site stockpile to the haulage network. Note this will not use trucks unless the Flow Chart and Destination Rules require it.
