Cross sections are useful for providing context to 2D plots.

The chart shows 50% out of plan, but I don't see it on the bench?

To create a cross section:

Press the cross section icon above the viewport.
Click and drag to set and rotate the view rectangle.
In the Cross Section panel:
1. Middle click to pan,
2. Scroll wheel to zoom,
3. Control+scroll to vertically exaggerate, and
4. Use the arrow icons to step the view forward and backward.

The out of plan dirt is on the bottom flitch, which cannot be seen from plan view.
