PS. Data Sources

The Data Sources step allows the user to import to the APS scheduling inventory relevant 3D block solids from Rapid Reserver in the ".invModel" file format.

The ".invModel" is a native export format from Rapid Reserver, which is the recommended mechanism for creation of reserves data.

Reserves can be embedded in the project to allow a full integration when updating data, or imported from external data sources, or both.

Embedded Reserves

To use embedded reserves (use Rapid Reserver in fully integrated mode, allowing direct communication for fast and easy update of reserves):

  1. In Production Scheduler > Setup tab > Configuration Options step > enable Embed Rapid Reserver flag.

  2. Rapid Reserver tab > File > Open > “.rara” file.

  3. Wait for reserves to finish calculating.

  4. Embedded reserves show as bold blue text.

  5. Proceed with scheduler setup.

Imported Reserves

The ".invModel" file is required.

To import reserves from Rapid Reserver:

  1. In Production Scheduler > Setup tab > Configuration Options step > flag Do not Embed Rapid Reserver.

  2. Go to Rapid Reserver > Designer tab > Export button > “From Project” > Alastri Inventory Model > save “Inventory Model.invModel” file.

3. Go to Production Scheduler > Setup tab > Data Sources step > plus icon > import “Inventory Model.invModel” file.

If you need to use another inventory model, avoid deleting existing and adding a new one. It is recommended to use the Re-Import button (folder icon) to update the existing input with new data. This will avoid re-mapping tables and data fields.

Both

Projects with Rapid Reserver embedded can also have “.invModel” files imported, for the simultaneous use of two or more inventory models.

Toolbar

Use the top toolbar buttons to add, delete or move items up and down. Each toolbar button has tooltips available when hovering the mouse cursor.

Press blue play button to run this step and proceed to the next one.

Solution

Not all the Setup steps in Rapid Reserver have been confirmed (or configured correctly).

Confirm all the setup steps and wait until reserves calculation is complete in the Designer tab.

The generation and calculation of reserves in the Designer tab is not finalised.

  • Depending on the level of details when creating blasts shapes, calculating reserves in the Designer tab may take some time (a long time with small blocks and a large number of benches being processed).

Wait until reserves calculation is complete in the Designer tab.

  • As long as you see three rotating rings in the upper left corner, this means that a calculation is in progress and the reserves are not ready.
