APS Categories

Conformance categories are used to classify volumes by their mining date in the three month plan. For example, the categories (2WP, 3MP, OOP) could be used to classify dirt that is in the two week plan window, in the three month plan window, or out of plan respectively.

Conformance categories are later used for:

• Colour-coding the reserves to make it easier to ‘paint by numbers'.

• Reporting what categories are mined in each period.
