RR. Alastri Inventory Model
Once you have created and reviewed the blast and dig blocks, you can export all this data from Rapid Reserver project, including reserves as per the Block Model, naming, polygons, construction lines and other configurations.
This Inventory Model can be further imported into Haul Infinity to load existing blocks into HI projects and join them to the road network.
Exported from Rapid Reserver > Designer Inventory Model is also being used as a Data Source for Tactical and Production Scheduler projects, if Rapid Reserver is unembedded, or multiple models are required to be used.
The ".invModel" is a native export format from Rapid Reserver, which is the recommended mechanism for creation of reserves data.
Exporting Alastri Inventory Model from Rapid Reserver
In Rapid Reserver > Designer tab > Export button > “From Project” > Alastri Inventory Model.
Flag levels you wish to export and press OK.
The exported reserves model file will be saved in the ".invModel" format.
Importing Blocks into Haul Infinity
To load the blocks exported from Rapid Reserver into Haul infinity project and join them to the road network, select the Import button from the top toolbar and choose “Scheduling Blocks from Alastri Inventory Model”.
Specify a path and select “.invModel” file.
Upon importing your blocks you will be prompted to review the Root Name, Travel Level in Tree (bench level hierarchy), Travel Alignment (top or bottom of block) and Block Type (source or destination).
The Travel Level in Tree must be set to the bench level, see the example on the left:
Note that when Rapid Reserver is embedded into ATS or APS project, after updating reserves in RR, you don’t need to re-export Inventory model and re-import it into HI upon each update.
In the Scheduler, run through the (Reserves) Database block of setup tasks (to the Waste Dumps step on ATS, or Periods in APS), and then in Haul Infinity select Scheduler from the top toolbar > Import blocks from Scheduler > Scheduling blocks will be loaded automatically including the most recent changes in reserves made in Rapid Reserver.
Importing Reserves Data Source into ATS
In Tactical Scheduler > Setup tab > Choose Data Sources step > green plus icon > import “blocks.invModel” file.
Rapid Reserver can be unembedded to use only Inventory Model(s), or embedded to use both.
After updating reserves data, always re-import Inventory model to update blocks, instead of deleting it and adding new one. Otherwise, you’ll need to update all the mappings for each stage in the subsequent steps.
Importing Reserves Data Source into APS
In Production Scheduler > Setup tab > Data Sources step > blue plus icon > import “blocks.invModel” file.
Rapid Reserver can be unembedded to use only Inventory Model(s), or embedded to use both.
