Alastri is pleased to announce the release of v22.2. This is a major release with new Gantt reporting functionality, improved resmodel generation times, and internationalization of the entire suite.

If you cannot see version 22.2 in the Hub, please contact one of your company’s license administrators and ask them to change the organisation’s permissions via the licensing website.

Some very minor scripting changes may be required to update to 22.2, depending on the project setup. Please contact the support desk if you encounter any problems with scripts.

Common Improvements

Internationalization

All products, including the Hub, have been internationalized. The language of the UI can be changed at any time by clicking the flag icon in the upper right of the application. While English and Russian are the only true languages supported at the moment, other languages will be supported in the future, including Spanish and French.

Resmodel Generation Performance Improvements

The time to create resmodels has been reduced by 25%-65%, depending on the data, block model format, and mapping configuration.

Gantt Report - ATS & APS

A new type of Gantt report can now be created on the Reporting tab of ATS and APS. These Gantt reports are fully customisable and are designed to be printed. See /wiki/spaces/221/pages/30411613 for more information on how to create and configure these reports. With the release of this new function, the Tasks tab in APS has been made redundant and is no longer available.

Period Plot Reports

The functionality to create plots in RR and period plots in APS and ATS has been moved into the Reports tab for each product. The Plot tab in RR, Period Plot tab in ATS, and Period Plot tab in APS are therefore no longer present. In addition, there are more options in the configuration of these plots, including the ability to only show benches which have been scheduled, and the ability to view the benches in a list form rather than a tree form.

Layer Sets for Exporting Views

The Layers panel across all products now has a function which allows the creation of layer sets, which controls the visibility of a subset of layers. These layer subsets can be used in the viewpoints function of ATS and APS which allows users to take a number of screenshots simultaneously where each screenshot may have different layers set to visible.

Console Window for scripted Console.WriteLine outputs

A new window is available in all applications to show any outputs from calls to Console.WriteLine. The window can be accessed by navigating to Help > Console, and will display any outputs called from the scripts, or from any scripted shading or label.

Tactical Scheduler

Populate Lists from Haul Infinity

The various steps which require names that must match Haul Infinity now have buttons which will add any items that are in Haul Infinity, but missing in ATS. The steps with this button are:

  • Waste Dumps

  • Stockpiles

  • Crushers

  • Truck Types

  • Loader Types

Delete multiple selected reports

It is now possible to delete multiple reports in ATS. Previously it was only possible to delete the report that was focused.

Production Scheduler

Change Color of Agents in the Animation

It is now possible to change the color of Agents so they can be easily distinguished on the Animation viewport.

Populate Lists from Haul Infinity

It is now possible to populate several Site List items directly from Haul Infinity, reducing manual entry in the case where the Haulage Network was set up prior to the scheduling model. This can be achieved by selecting the "Populate from Haul Infinity" button located directly above the Site List items. Once selected, a message box, shown in the image below, will be displayed outlining three different import options.

Create Custom Report Fields

It is now possible to create custom report fields that will appear in the list of available fields of conventional APS reports. An example of a custom field would be truck EFH (Effective Flat Haul). Out of the box, this is not reported as there is no standard for calculating EFH; however, all the inputs required for calculating the value are available. We can calculate the EFH value and add it as an available report field using a custom field. Scripts are needed to generate these custom fields, so if required, please get in touch with the support desk.

Rapid Reserver

Dig Automation Tool - Honor Blast Boundaries

A new option has been introduced within the automatic dig line creation tool that allows neighbouring blasts to be considered when generating dig lines. This new option is located in the 'Tool Settings' group box of the Generate Dig Lines dialog. If this setting is disabled, the dig line creator will treat each blast separately. The resultant output with the settings disabled and enabled can be seen below.

Bulk Block Rename Tool - Bearing Column

A new "Bearing" column has been introduced into the Bulk Block Rename tool. This new column defines the direction in which blasts will be renamed. This can be seen in the example below, where a bearing of 120 degrees has been applied. Please note that the arrow shown is for illustration purposes only; no directional indicator will be displayed on the screen.

Additional Custom Variable Formulas

Three new Custom Variable helper formulas have been introduced, which help deal with situations where multiple blockmodels contain different field names. An example of how these can be used is shown below, where the gold grade field differs between block models.

Export Depleted Phases

A new option has been introduced within the Phase Details step, enabling depleted phase solids to be exported. Several surface export formats are available when exporting single phases, and a Zip file is used if multiple phases are selected using the default 00t format to export.

Spatial Conformetrics

Reports step

New report settings for Cross-Section have been added.

Description of these new fields see in the table below:

Report Setting

Description

Padding

Spacing between elements in the cross-section image.

Margin

Spacing between elements and the edge of the cross-section image.

Render Scale

Relative size of rendered elements in the cross-section image

RL Reference Level (m)

The elevation at which the vertical scale of the cross-section starts.

RL Increment Size (m)

The distance between marked increments on the vertical scale of the cross section.

Horizontal Increment Size (m)

The distance between marked increments on the horizontal scale of the cross section.

Scale Line Weight

 Thickness of the drawn scale.

Pit Line Weight

Thickness of the pit surface's drawn cross-section.

Level Line Weight

Thickness of the level lines drawn at RL increments.

Level Line Opacity (%)

Opacity of the level lines drawn at RL increments.

Haul Infinity

Retain manual joins

A new extension has been added, allowing manual joins to be retained when the 'Assign Joins Based on Segment Names' is run. The new option can be found in the 'Extension' toolbar menu. This option is also available in APS in the Final Configuration step.
