Alastri is pleased to announce the release of v22.3. This is a major release containing new features to better improve user experience. These features include a new navigational search bar and performance improvements around layer storage and usage.

If you cannot see version 22.3 in the Hub, please contact one of your company’s license administrators and ask them to change the organisation’s permissions via the licensing website.

Some very minor scripting changes may be required to update to 22.3, depending on the project setup. Please contact the support desk if you encounter any problems with scripts.

Common Improvements

A new search bar has been added in all products to help quickly jump to certain areas of the software. Items that match keywords will be listed on the right-hand side of the results panel. Search items are also aggregated based on which application and area they appear in. The aggregation results will be displayed on the left-hand side of the results panel.

Grade Shading & Contour Lines

Grade Shading

New functionality has been added that now makes it possible to shade triangulations by grade. This can be useful for distinguishing areas too steep for production rigs. Four grade cutoffs have been preconfigured, each with a user-defined colour. The colour associated with triangles less than 10% grade will be set to the colour associated with the layer.

Contour Lines

It is now possible to display contour lines to help visualise surface terrain. The settings for this functionality are outlined below.

Setting

Color

The color of the contor lines to be displayed.

Height Offset

Reference RL for a major interval.

Major Interval

The vertical distance between major interval lines.

Minor Divider

The number of minor interval lines between major intervals.

Line Width

The thickness of displayed contour lines.

Image Draping Improvements

The memory performance of image draping has now been improved. Previously, large drape images were loaded directly into memory only to be scaled down. This resulted in reduced image resolution and unnecessary memory usage. Changes made in 22.3 result in optimal memory usage and full-resolution images. All changes made are in the backend, meaning there are no changes to the workflow or functionality of the feature.

Layers Database

To help improve memory efficiency, the framework for layer storage has changed. Layers associated with a project will now be stored inside a database and loaded from disk on demand. No change has been made regarding how layers work or how they are imported. The only visible difference should be reduced memory consumption, and that layers will now be stored in a *.layerdb file as opposed to the current *.layers file.

No data will be lost when upgrading to 22.3. Existing layer data will automatically be converted to this new file format.

Tactical Scheduler

Imperial Units

Imperial units have now been introduced into ATS. A new setup step, “Settings”, has been introduced where units of measurement which match your site's local standard can be set.

Rapid Reserver

Blast Name Increments

When using the ‘Rename Blast’ tool, it is now possible to specify the increment used when numbering blasts - i.e. Production blasts with an increment of 2 = 100, 102, 104, 106. The default increment value is 1.

Haul Infinity

New Parameters Layout

The ‘Parameters’ step in HI has been reconfigured to improve readability and useability. The parameter settings for each unique combination of Truck, Loader and material now appear as a line item in a table structure. The selection of Trucks, Loaders and Materials remains the same as before.

No data will be lost when upgrading to 22.3. Existing ‘Parameters’ data will automatically be converted to this new layout.

Spatial Conformetrics

Conformance Export - Combined Polygons

It is now possible to export the conformance data for combined polygons. Conformance data from individual polygons will be aggregated based on the top-level name. In the screenshot below, the top-level names are ‘Pit1’ and ‘Dump’. To export the data using this logic, ‘Export top-level node summaries’ must be enabled in the Export Conformance Report CSV dialog.

Customisable Heading Names

It is now possible to change the names of the headings that appear in the conformance table report. These can be edited in the ‘Settings' step located in the ‘Setup’ tab.
