The Reserves tab is the area to view and analyse reserve and dump solids and their contents.

It is the primary 3D working environment for the project, which allows the following:

  • view the entire solids inventory, organised by pits, stages, benches and flitches (similar for dumps and backfills),

  • interrogate block model data for selected solids,

  • display layers and overlays for all imported project items,

  • detailed data presentation for any selected parcels and levels,

  • review reserves and dumps solids properties,

  • operations with records subsets.

The Reserves tab consists of four main parts, which are described in detail below:

(1) Records Panel

The Records panel is represented by a window on the left side of the Reserves tab. You can expand this panel to make it easier to work with its data.

This panel contains a tree structure listing all levels of records in a certain order, for example Reserve - Mine - Pit - Stage - Bench - Flitch.

  • By checking a level it will display in the Viewport Display. You may also select the whole reserve/mine/pit/stage/bench to display or selected solids using <CTRL> and <Shift> hotkeys.

  • Select the subset you want to work with from the Record Subsets dropdown list. The information in the Data panel as well as in the Viewport Display will be automatically updated.

  • Click on the gear icon to the right of the Record Subsets dropdown to open the Configure Record Subsets dialog, where you can add, delete, move up/down record subsets (on the left) and set the output parameters of the subset parcel (Must Contain Parcel Subset dropdown) and set extension record filters (Extension Record Filter dropdown).

(2) Layers Panel

The Layers panel is a screen component found in all Alastri applications. This panel is used to add / remove / arrange and perform other operations with layers and overlays. For a detailed description of the elements of the Layers panel and recommendations for its use, see here.

(3) Viewport Display

The Viewport Display provides a graphical representation of all the solids of Reserves and Dumps on your mine site. The user can select the levels to be displayed (mine / pit / stage / bench, etc.), switch to the display of dumps or open pits, zoom in to one or multiple solids.

The following buttons and fields are provided at the top of the viewport, and are useful for customizing the display according to user preferences.
