Creating a simple custom shading

Simple Segments Shading

  1. Select the gear icon next to the Shading dropdown. This opens the configuration dialog.

  2. Press the blue plus icon to add a new shading set.

  3. Rename the shading to "Distances".

  4. Drop down the Shading Field and select “Distance”.

  5. Press the Create by Equal Intervals button to populate 10 intervals.

  6. Generate Gradient or assign a colour to each interval.

  7. Press OK to accept.

  8. Select the newly created shading from the Segments > Shadings dropdown and review the result.

Simple Blocks Shading

  1. Select the gear icon next to the Shading dropdown. This opens the configuration dialog.

  2. Press the blue plus icon to add a new shading set.

  3. Rename the shading to "AutoJoinCount".

  4. Drop down the Shading Field and select “AutoJoinCount”.

  5. Press the Create by Equal Counts button to populate intervals.

  6. Generate Gradient or assign a colour to each interval.

  7. Press OK to accept.

  8. Select the newly created shading from the Blocks > Shadings dropdown and review the result.

Simple Nodes Shading

  1. Select the gear icon next to the Shading dropdown. This opens the configuration dialog.

  2. Press the blue plus icon to add a new shading set.

  3. Rename the shading to "byName".

  4. Drop down the Shading Field and select “FullName”.

  5. Populate names of nodes.

  6. Assign a colour to each node or Generate Gradient.

  7. Press OK to accept.

  8. Select the newly created shading from the Nodes > Shadings dropdown and review the result.
