Every project must have at least one loader, which is used to calculate truck cycle times and mining production rates. 

List of loaders used in a project is given in the Loaders step.

Loaders have a dig rate in the Calendar, and a loading time in Haul Infinity. The loading time affects the number of trucks under a digger, since it inflates or deflates the return cycle time.

To add a loader:

  1. Go to the Setup tab > Site Lists step > Loaders field:

    1. press the blue plus icon to add a new Loader.

  2. Go to the Setup tab > Site Lists step > Loader Types field:

    1. press the blue plus icon to add a new Loader Type, if the model type is not already present.

  3. Go to the Setup tab > Loaders step:

    1. select the applicable Loader Type for the loader,

    2. select Activities and Availability Types, if applicable,

    3. select what trucks can be loaded by the loader.

The Loader Type list is populated from the Site Lists step> Loader Types field. These Loader Types must match those used in Haul Infinity.

You can use multi-selection function (<CTRL> or <SHIFT> keys) to quickly apply the same configuration across multiple loaders.

Availability Types

Availability types are calendar-based time usage factors that affect the productive hours of a piece of an Agent. The factors represent a duration of an Agents time where it is not doing its primary task. Because the start time and end time of these unproductive events are unknown, they all affect some portion of an Agents time and the Agents Productive Rate.

Availability Type

Description

Unplanned Availability (UPA)

Affects the Productive hours and Available hours of an Agent

Use of Availability (UA)

Affects the Productive hours and Engine On hours of an Agent. This should be the percentage of time the equipment could have been used but intentionally was not.

Operator Efficiency (OE)

Affects the Productive hours of an Agent

Productivity Factor (PF)

Affects the Productive hours of an Agent

Note: These factors are applied after work schedule delays (in the Work Schedule step) are taken into account. If an agent has 6 hours of Work Schedule Delays in a 12 hours period, then the above factors apply to the remaining 6 hours of the period.
