PS Tasks tab

The Tasks tab is used to graphically represent the sequence of scheduled activities at the block solid level. Unlike the Gantt chart, which represents drilling and blasting sequences at the Resources level, the line graphs in the Tasks tab show task sequences for individual blasts.

Tasks tab overview

Expand the tree hierarchy of records in the Task panel to the desired level and review all related activities.

Example

Expand the records tree structure in the Tasks panel of the desired block. In the example below we use Reserves > Mine 1 > Pit 1 > Phase 102 > Bench 820 > Blast 12.

Line graphs example for Blast 12, Bench 820, Phase 102, Pit 1, Mine 1
  1. The first bar shows the blast count, as well as the duration of the activities being performed on it. Calendar dates of these operations can be seen on the timeline at the top of the graphs viewport.

  2. All related to this blast operations are grouped into three activities: ProductionDrilling, ProductionBlasting, and Mining.

    1. Expand the ProductionDrilling activity to see the blasting type applicable to that solid: in this case it is R - ramp shot. (You also can see C - contour shot, N - normal/production shot, T - trim shot, P - presplitting or any other names customized to suit your project).

    2. Expand the ProductionBlasting activity, to review its calendar duration. If the duration is not shown on your line chart, use the <CTRL> key in conjunction with the scroll wheel to scale the view.

    3. Expand the Mining activity to review the mining sequence for that bench by its flitches, dig blocks and grades. In the example above, you can see that the bench selected is split into three flitches at 826 RL, 823 RL and 820 RL, the first of which has one dig block and certain amount of waste (minw), high grade (hg), low grades (lg2 and lg1) and medium grade (mg). The blue bars of these grades show the duration of their extraction. Use the <CTRL> key in conjunction with the scroll wheel to scale the view.

  3. Records with no activities applied are shown in gray and indicate that nothing being performed at that level.

Note that the timeline slider in this tab is not active. To move to a certain day or period, go to the Gantt tab and place the slider in the desired position.
