HI. Assign Joins Based on Segment Names
Joins assigned based on segment names is setup in Haul Infinity and is used by Tactical Scheduler to ensure trucks use specific routes.
It negates the possibility of trucks flying through the air/through walls to use ramps in other stages to exit a bench.
Assigning joins based on segment names reduces the number of ramps available out of a pit. This increases scheduling speed and keeps trucks on the right ramps for that work area.
Manually naming segments
Locate a pit or block with incorrect ramp connections.
Copy the ramp address (ie. OpenPit\Mine1\Pit2\Stage1) to clipboard.
Locate the ramp that should be used to exit the stage. If the ramp does not exist, draw it.
Select the ramp.Â
In the Properties panel, paste the block address into "Name" field.Â
Naming segments via Viewport
Locate a pit or block with incorrect ramp connections.
Select the segments to rename.
Using Ctrl, select a block which will used the selected segments.
Right Click and choose what level to use for the segment name.
Note: In order to append selected name with names already applied to segments, hold Ctrl when selecting names.
Applying Joins Based on Named Segments
Joins can be applied in two ways.
Automatically - This option is found in Settings and was used in the above examples.
Manually - Select Extensions > Assign Joins Based On Segments Names.
Note that joins assigned using segment names only limits the connection point to the network, it does not affect the path through the network.Â
Joins assigned using segment names persists between planning cycles, even if you change the scheduling blocks, because the segment properties have not changed. This makes it preferable to manual joins, since manual joins are flushed whenever the blocks are re-imported.Â
