PS Trucks

Every project must have at least one truck type, which is used to calculate fleet numbers, engine hours and fuel burn.

List of trucks used in a project is given in the Trucks step.

Trucks step overview

To add a truck type:

  • Go to Haul Infinity > Trucks step:

    • find or import a truck definition, such as “CAT785”,

    • remove any spaces from the Truck Name.

  • Go back to APS > Setup tab > Site Lists step > Truck Types field:

    • press the blue plus icon to add a new truck,

    • rename it to match the Haul Infinity name.

  • Go to the Setup tab > Trucks step:

    • set the color of each truck model,

    • toggle availability types to add to the calendar, such as “Planned/Unplanned Availability”, “Use of Availability”, “Operating Efficiency” or “Productivity Factor”.

You can use multi-selection function (<CTRL> or <SHIFT> keys) to quickly apply the same configuration across multiple trucks.

Availability Types

Availability types are calendar-based time usage factors that affect the productive hours of a piece of an Agent. The factors represent a duration of an Agents time where it is not doing its primary task. Because the start time and end time of these unproductive events are unknown, they all affect some portion of an Agents time and the Agents Productive Rate. More details on Availability types and their affects see in the PS. Agent TUM Calculations section.
