TS. Reserves Tab

The Reserves tab is the area to view and analyse reserve and dump solids and their contents.

It is the primary 3D working environment for the project, which allows the following:

  • view the entire solids inventory, organised by pits, stages, benches and flitches (similar for dumps and backfills),

  • interrogate block model data for selected solids,

  • display layers for all imported project items,

  • configuration of Record and Parcel Subsets,

  • configuration of custom labels and shadings,

  • detailed data for any selected levels and activities,

  • review reserves and dumps solids properties.

The Reserves tab consists of four main parts, which are described in the sections below:

1. Records panel

The Records panel is represented by a window on the left side of the Reserves tab.

This panel contains a tree structure listing all levels of records in a certain order, for example Reserve - Mine - Pit - Stage - Bench - Flitch.

Layout

You can expand this panel to make it easier to work with its data, move it to any part of the screen, or unpin it (Auto Hide).

Level Tree Structure

  • A tree structure (or hierarchy) of levels/records is a list of all levels, arranged by parent and child records. In applications from Alastri, such a structure displays a hierarchy of mine parts, as following: Reserves - Mine - Pit - Phase - Bench - Blast - Flitch - Solid, and Dumps - Dump - Lift - Solid.

  • It is possible to quickly expand/collapse level structure:

    • Click the button directly above the scroll bar to see available expand/collapse options.

    • You can expand or collapse all the levels.

    • Expand selection or all records to a certain level, such as Reserves/Dumps - Mine/Dump - Pit/Lift - Stage - Bench.

  • By checking a level, it will display in the Viewport Display.

  • You may also select the whole reserve/mine/pit/stage/bench to display or selected solids using <CTRL> and <Shift> hotkeys.

  • Data for the selected level will be automatically showed in the Data panel.

Record Subset

  • Select the subset you want to work with from the Record Subsets dropdown list. The information in the Data panel as well as in the Viewport Display will be automatically updated.

  • Use the green arrows to navigate to the Previous or Next Subset.

  • Click on the gear icon to the right of the Record Subsets dropdown to open the Configure Record Subsets dialog, where you can create record subsets (on the left). Record Subsets may include groups of blocks based on:

    • fleet: Autonomous or Crewed;

    • certain mining RL: Below or Above water level, Lower or Higher benches;

    • source blocks for the specific destination;

    • source blocks for the specific phases, or of a certain volume;

    • blocks to be mined/drilled within specific periods, etc.

  • To add phases/benches/blocks in the subset:

    • flag them in the Configure Record Subset list, or

    • in the Viewport, make a selection > Right-click > Append Selection to Subset > select a Subset.

  • Set the output parameters of the subset parcel (Must Contain Parcel Subset dropdown), if required.

  • Set extension (scripted) record filters (Extension Record Filter dropdown).

  • Record subsets can be referenced in the Destination Logic, Steps Logic, Constraints, and Product Specifications steps of the project. This makes it easy to update a definition (such as "Contractor Pits") in many places at once.

2. Layers Panel

The Layers panel is a screen component found in all Alastri applications. This panel is used to add / remove / arrange and perform other operations with layers.

For a detailed description of the elements of the Layers panel and recommendations for its use, see the section UI. Layers panel.

3. Viewport Display

The Viewport Display provides a graphical representation of all the solids of Reserves and Dumps on your mine site. The user can select the levels to be displayed (mine / pit / stage / bench, etc.), switch to the display of dumps or open pits, zoom in to one or multiple solids.

The following buttons and fields are provided at the top of the viewport, and are useful for customizing the display according to user preferences.

Visibility Mode

Graphics view mode.

Changing current viewing mode affects how data is displayed in the viewport below.

Click on the dropdown list to select:

  • View Selected - displays items selected in the Records panel only, or

  • View All - displays all records.

Label Display

  • Toggle the Label Display button to enable/hide labels.

  • Click on the dropdown list to open the Label Display Settings window.

  • Toggle Visible /Invisible to enable/hide labels.

  • Optionally, change the labels Fore and Back Colors, Font and Size.

  • Specify the way labels will be displayed: Aligned / Centered and with Overlap / No Overlap.

Label

Select from the dropdown list which labels you want to display in the viewport.

You can also create custom labels, instructions see here.

Color coding for the selected shading can be viewed in the Legend.

Reserves Shading

Select from the dropdown menu Reserves shading type to display in the viewport and to simplify working with solids.

  • You can also create custom shadings, instructions see here.

Color coding for the selected shading can be viewed in the Legend.

Dumps Shading

Select from the dropdown menu Dumps shading type to display in the viewport and to simplify working with solids.

  • You can also create custom dumps shadings, similar to the Reserves Shading, instructions see here.

Color coding for the selected shading can be viewed in the Legend.

Other toolbar tools

Other toolbar tools are common for all Alastri applications. For a description of them, see the section UI. Toolbar.

Manage Viewpoint

To save the current view of any object or the selection in the viewport, click the Manage Viewpoints button in the bottom right part of the Viewport and add new viewpoint.

  • You can add multiple viewpoints of different areas of a mine you’ll need a quick access to.

  • Optionally, select a Layer Set preconfigured in the Layers panel. More details about layers Sets can be found in the section UI. Layer panel > Layer Sets for Exporting Views.

  • Update any of added viewpoints using the Update Viewpoint button (globe icon).

  • Use the green arrow icon to display the added viewpoint.

  • Take a screenshot of the selected viewpoint (with Layer Set, if added) with the selected resolution.

4. Data Panel

  • Fields listed here are configured in the Data Fields setup steps and reflect the mapping being done in the Map Fields step.

  • If no levels are selected, then reserves are shown for all records.

  • To the left of the name of each field there is a small triangle icon, clicking on which will reveal or hide the hierarchy of this level. Use this feature to simplify and filter the data you need to work with.

More details see below:

Data View Mode

In the top left corner of the Data panel is the Data View Mode button. It is used to change the current data view mode, which affects the way the data is presented in the table below.

If a record is focused, the View Mode switches columns to show siblings or parcels.

  • “View Siblings in Columns” option - view shows multiple records at once.

  • “View Parcels in Columns” option - view shows the activity breakdown within a record.

Export

Use these options when you need to export Mining or Drilling Database to CSV format or .zip archive.

For more details, see the section TS. Export Reserves and Scheduling Solids.

Parcel Subset

Click to select displayed parcel subsets from the dropdown.

Click on the gear icon to the right of the Parcel Subset dropdown to open the Configure Parcel Subsets dialog, where you can add Normal or Mutex Parcel Subsets (on the left) and set output options for each of them.

For more details about this function, see TS. Parcel Subsets section.
