TS. Battery Fleets
Allows Battery Electric trucks to change battery configurations over time.
Trucks | Â |
---|---|
Name | Automatically populated based on Truck Types step. |
Opening Charge Count | Represents the total number of recharges for active batteries in the fleet. This is used a starting position of average battery life remaining to predict when replacements will be required. |
Battery Schedule | Visual Representation of Battery Fields |
Start Date | Date when new battery type will be used in schedule. |
Nominal Capacity | Designed max capacity of battery. |
Usable Capacity | Refers to capacity of the battery which will be used. Example: To preserve battery life, some batteries might be recommended to only be charged to 90%. For operational purposes the trucks will recharge at 20%. This means the Usable capacity might only be 70% of the nominal capacity. Â Usable Capacity will degrade over time based on number of recharges as well any Battery Regen due to braking or trolleys. Basic Example: Battery has usable capacity of 1000 kWh and Battery Life Cycles of 100. After 10 charges, usable capacity will be reduced to 900 kWh. This example is only to demonstrate battery degradation, no regen was considered. |
End Capacity | Battery Capacity at the time of replacement. |
Battery Life Cycles | Number of times battery has discharged and recharged its nominal capacity'\ |
Use Actual Trucks when calculating Capacity | This is an advanced feature which should only be used for long term schedules where the number of required trucks is unknown. Schedule will be ran twice:
